Intended for wall-hanging or decoration, these hollow but heavy beads are thrown on the wheel and then hand formed, and strung on waxed cotton cord. Made by ceramics artist Jessie DuBois in Los Angeles. Hang on the wall or display on a shelf or atop a stack of books.
Measures 23” long
Jessie DuBois’ work explores the ephemeral nature of a landscape. Through texture, layers of slip, embracing kiln atmosphere, use of locally foraged wild clays, plant material, and wildfire ash, it is intended to honor and preserve a terrain which is ever shifting.
