California Live Oak, Analoggd Tiny Print - 2.5 x 3.5

I’m drawn to quiet, wide-open spaces and fascinated by the blurry line where civilization and wilderness meet and sometimes bleed into one another. Ten years ago, I started feeling the restlessness that comes from too many days at a desk and life in a Bay Area becoming more congested every year. What started as a brief respite from the noise of my urban surroundings quickly became an obsession with finding more and more remote landscapes within easy distances of my home, mostly East of Oakland and the Diablo Range. My only times to get out and explore these spaces were before or after work, and so a body of work shot almost exclusively at twilight began to emerge. I love the juxtaposition of the built world against what are otherwise ancient and timeless spaces captured as they are just coming to life or settling down for the night.

Tiny Prints are 2.5 x 3.5 inches, printed traditionally by a small family-owned print shop on photographic paper. Each print is framed with a 5 x 7 inch acid-free 8-ply archival white matboard, hinged with acid-free mounting tape and backed with an archival board. Ready for framing.
