Inspired by their upbringings along the coast of northern California, founders and friends Lisa Fontaine and Lisa Wong Jackson strongly believe in being thoughtful about the things they bring into their homes. Each piece should have a purpose, bring happiness and offer a sense of well being.
Lisa Fontaine is a Santa Cruz native and entrepreneur. For the past several years, she has been designing a line of women’s clothing called Hygge and sells through wholesale and e-commerce channels. She also runs Camp Picnic, a small arts and crafts camp for children during the summer. Lisa lives in Berkeley with her husband and three children.
Lisa Wong Jackson, a San Francisco native and graphic designer, has run her own custom design and stationery company called Good on Paper for over 10 years and has worked as a senior designer for an engineering/architecture firm for nearly 20 years. She also has a lifestyle blog where she posts about food, kids, parties, and design. Lisa lives in Berkeley with her husband, two young boys, and dog Frankie.
Together, they believe in supporting their local artisan community, ethical production practices, and providing goods made from natural materials. They have collaborated on many creative projects over the course of their friendship--their creative career paths have crossed once again in the creation of Morningtide, a lifestyle shop carrying a thoughtfully curated selection of goods made by independent designers and craftspeople.
